Jury Report

•This project showed great sensitivity with a childlike scale and sense of fun with agricultural forma.
•Detached barn makes eminent sense and results in interesting outdoor spaces.
•Meets functional requirements of program in providing good circulation.
•Worthy winner.

•Entry should be restudied to conform with rest of project particularly in reconciling the entrance and arcade.
•Bridge should be protected by roof with generous overhangs.
•Reorganize interior exhibits together with Zoo Director and staff.
•Reconsider hipped gable forma on roof.
•Final plan should display even more integration with exterior environment.
•Reconsider roof forms paying special attention to cost and maintenance.
•Reconsider service access for barn and
•Flamingo Rouse.
•We suggest after preliminary plan has been completed that a presentation model be built.
•We believe that this concept can be constructed with cost guidelines depending upon a careful evaluation of materials and methods of construction.
