SPACE WITHOUT EDGES
Starting from the principle that accessible environments must fundamentally offer clear paths for the mobility of all their users, the chosen route for the proposal aims not only to enable universally efficient movement, but also to ensure that this path offers solutions that are discreetly integrated into the environment, without drawing attention to themselves or highlighting the condition of people with disabilities. Thus, through architecture, accessible features should not appear to be special adaptations, but rather a natural part of the design.
The experience chosen for the development of the proposal concerns the route leading to the main reception area -- from its access point on Boulevard Édouard-Montpetit, through the internal path of the building to the reception on the 3rd floor, and finally, the reception space itself.
For the first section, from the public space to the entrance of the complex, the decision was made that instead of simply installing a "parallel" ramp alongside the stairs, the level difference would be better resolved through gentle sloped planes incorporated into the main pathways, avoiding segregation.
For the internal section of the complex, leading to the reception, it was essential to reposition the location of the stairs and elevator to make them more accessible. It was also decided that for the interior routes of the building, tactile signage would be implemented using materials and colors that blend into the flooring itself, along with the use of contrasting tones in the overall design, which facilitate orientation and make user navigation more intuitive.
At the reception, it was crucial to reorganize the space and optimize circulation, making the environment more user-friendly. This includes the creation of a resting area away from traffic flow, repositioning the reception desks to make them more easily visible, and relocating the turnstiles away from points of conflict.

The proposal is characterized by a limited number of interventions, essentially the modification of the slope and some adjustments to the reception area.
