Experience 1 - Arrival
This interactive pressure plated walkway reacts with a sensory related colour to provide the feelings associated with the colour. The green colour provides a calming feeling for the guests amidst the stress of large crowds or reducing stress for the event that may be overwhelming for those special needs people.
The colour Blue reduces anxiety and provides comfort while the guests locate their event space within the building and prepare for the event. While paired with the colour Yellow, yellow introduces the feeling of optimism and energy so they are also excited for the event.
This is a generative pathway installation that generates electricity created by Pavegen. The reason I chose this technology for the entrance aspect of this sports centre is because the physical sense of pushing a button type of element has a positive reaction for certain special needs persons which can reduce stress, according to America's Disability Community. The appearance of if something looks clickable reduces hesitation of interaction and has a feeling of welcome.

The proposal did not address the experience of universal accessible and did not demonstrate how access to the main reception area was improved. Proposed interactive lighting technology on path of travel can be dangerous for people with disabilities.
