Invisible Accessibility: The Vibrotactile Revolution for Inclusion
Principle: Vibrotactile perception as a key to inclusion and accessibility
The CEPSUM user experience will be drastically improved.
Access to the grandstands (viewing) from boulevard EDOUARD-MONTPETIT will be through a rolling platform that incorporates small ramps instead of stairs to ascend to different levels. The grandstands will be modified to offer a completely new match experience. Access to the stands will be via several elevating platforms, and seating will follow a specific pattern.
The seats will be hidden through the grandstands, and activated via a mechanism that allow people with motor limitations to occupy any spot without activating the seat available at their location. All information related to the sporting event will be broadcast through commentary in the stands and on giant screens with subtitles. Additionally, the seats will vibrate in sync with key moments of the game.
At the store, users will be guided by smooth vibrations. Washroom (toilets) will be accessible via automatic entrances that lock as soon as they are occupied.
Vibrations are used to help people to use the CEPSUM efficiently.

The jury noted that the proposal contains a lot of text, but few images. The ground vibrations could be disturbing. The individual devices are interesting, but little attention is paid to the overall user experience. However, a positive point is that spaces are accessible at all levels thanks to the proposed platform.
