From City to Stands in One Seamless Motion
One Path for All
The project radically reimagines stadium access through an iconic architectural gesture: a continuous spiral ramp, inspired by San Siro yet reinvented as a universal, fluid, and shared pathway.
Anchored into the site's topography, it directly links the public space to all seating levels, erasing any distinction between standard and adapted routes.
The experience begins in the city. Long before entering the stadium, spectators use a mobile app to purchase their ticket, set preferences, and visualize their route.
Upon arrival, on foot from Boulevard Édouard-Montpetit or by car from the parking lot, the public is welcomed by the Garden of Ascent, a sensory prologue to the event. This vegetated ribbon, with light-filtering trees, flowering beds, and meandering paths, naturally guides the crowd toward the base of the spiral while offering an urban breath of fresh air.
Accessibility becomes invisible. Parking areas are adaptive: thanks to dynamic ground markings, any space can be transformed into an accessible spot on demand, eliminating stigmatizing signage. The path to the stands is continuous, with a gentle slope, non-slip surfaces, integrated lighting, and intuitive wayfinding. Families, people with reduced mobility, children, and occasional supporters all share the same route-- without breaks or separate devices.
An immersive ascent. Along the spiral, integrated resting areas, wooden benches, shaded zones, and planted alcoves, invite pauses. Framed views reveal, at times, the pitch, and at others, the city. Sound, light, and perspective orchestrate a gradual rise in excitement, making the journey to the seats an experience in its own right, equal to the match itself.

The jury noted that the spiral ramp resembles a slide and could be improved by adding rest areas, enhancing safety, and refining the scale of the element.
