INCLUSION THROUGH SIGHT
ACCESSIBLE BLEACHERS TO CHOOSE YOUR OWN MATCH EXPERIENCE
Currently, the experience of attending a game at CEPSUM's outdoor stadium is unequal. The gardens do not provide accessible routes to the playing field, and existing bleachers offer neither full crowd integration nor proper sightlines for users with reduced mobility. Accessible areas and their entrances are isolated, barely visible, and located at ground level. In addition, key services like reception and the cafeteria are scattered across different levels, further fragmenting the experience.
To address these issues, we propose the demolition of the existing bleachers and the construction of a completely redesigned seating system. A new elevator tower, added near the main entrance and connected to glazed walkways, serves all levels of the building. The path, now brighter, more visible, and celebrated, becomes a strong alternative to the garden path.
The bleacher above the arena is connected to the tower via gently sloped bridges leading to three accessible platforms at different heights, allowing spectators to choose their desired atmosphere and viewpoint. Kiosks integrated into the walkways offer food and merchandise without detours. All seats have backrests, and folding options make space for wheelchair users within the crowd. A second elevator on the opposite side of the bleacher ensures full vertical circulation.
On the mountain side, the bleacher is traversed diagonally by a gentle slope granting access to half the seating area. A new pavilion on ground level consolidates restrooms, ticketing, and food services. For a more inclusive experience, a sports commentator is proposed, with the option to listen to the match via headphones.
The stadium is reimagined as a vibrant, accessible, and inclusive gathering space, where everyone can share the emotion of sport in conditions that are dignified, comfortable, and shared.

The jury noted that the added elevator only serves the bleachers. The ramp across the bleachers is dangerous for people with disabilities and would require handrails or guardrails, which would block the view. However, it creates several interesting small triangular spaces and increases the number of accessible seats. Two principles of access to the bleachers are proposed, on either side of the site. The building along the site serves all levels and is perceived positively for this functionality.
